-
You can choose the colour of timber you like.
-
You can cross out the colour of timber you do not like.
-
You can choose from a certain species like Queensland Maple or Tasmanian Oak. (Timber A-Z).
Let's take a closer look...
1. You can choose the colour of timber you like.
Seem straightforward?
Choose your best 3 colours choices.
Then choose the one option you really like from there.
Also consider there are other important facts to take into consideration like where it is being used?
Is it a high traffic area?
Is it a hardwood (better for tables and high usage areas) or softwood
(coasters or coverups are needed to protect the surface of the timber
from possible damage).
Often when more than one person is deciding this option isn't as easy.
2. You can cross out the timber colour you do not like. (ending with the best option)
A friend of mine recommended this option, he and his
partner were choosing laminate choices, and they were about to look at
what they liked.
The kitchen manufacturer said, "no, do not choose the one you like, put asside the ones, you do not like.
They were amazed at how neither of them would have chosen the colour
the decided on, yet they were so happy with their final selection, so
give it a try. (give it a go - you may be surprised!)
3. You can choose from a certain species like Queensland Maple or Tasmanian Oak. (Timber A-Z). Or a name that you know and love.
This one is often dependant on timber selection to
match existing decor or preferences of the timber you enjoy. If you are
a lover of silky oak, or your like the figurative grain or appearance
of a certain timber and you know the name of it.
Choose this from A-Z list of species, when you know what
you like, (sometimes you may know a timber species as a different name
or a company, called a timber a certain name like Golden Gum, which
isn't a species of timber, and is simply a combination of a gum with a
mixture of lacquer stains.
